About Us
We are located in Buncombe County,
NC in the heart of Asheville, just minutes from neighboring towns of
Weaverville and Black Mountain.
People have been increasingly drawn
to western North Carolina by its mountain charm and rustic beauty. I am
fortunate and grateful to have settled here to raise my family. We all
know that growth and/or progress is certain. We here at Carolina Land
Works strive to promote, as well as preserve, the native landscape that has
created this "charm" and "beauty;" it deserves to
keep.
In the Spring of 1993, among the
lush forests, cool waters, and timeless beauty of the Blue Ridge
Mountains, Carolina Land Works had taken root and began to grow. My name
is Jason Smith, and that is how the company was first introduced. With
time, determination, and nature's lead, I can gladly say that Carolina
Land Works has grown considerably from one man to a collaboration of
many.
Early on, my focus was with all
aspects of landscape, such as ground prep, planting, and maintenance. I
found that the most creative and rewarding element was the construction,
commonly referred to as "hardscape." It has been my experience
that many homeowners enjoy planting and maintaining the remaining portions
of their landscape. However, depending upon the customer's preference, we
are glad to arrange for the installation of all areas of landscape and
hardscape.
The images on our site serve to
illustrate how we install boulder, stone, and log to work with the
existing landscape instead of against it. We will continue to provide our
neighbors (new and old) with quality work, good relations, and most of
all very reasonable pricing.
